She Made It!

We have tubes and are home!

Audrey made it through the surgery wonderfully today. We had to arrive at 6:45 a.m., and she was the doctor's first procedure. After arriving, they took us back pretty quickly and into a curtained area (sort of like an ER with multiple beds around), and the nurses got to know Audrey and we went over everything with her nurses, anesthesiologists and finally her doctor. Then, they took her back about 7:45, and within 10 minutes or so, the doctor was already out and telling us she did well and they were done!  It was a few more minutes before she was awake and they paged us to go into recovery to see her.  Once she held down some juice and we had her instructions, we were on our way out. She managed to charm every single one of the nurses, and I could tell the one that carried her to us didn't want to let her go!

Here is sweet baby girl on our way home today, still a little sleepy

She was so strong, and only cried for a few seconds when they took her from me in the room.  Once the nurse turned the corner with her, she stopped crying.  I on the other hand, may have shed a few tears when we went to the waiting room, after the doc talked to us when it was over, and again right as they were bringing her in.  She made it through it and so did I!  Luckily, Eric and his mom were there too, so I think that helped me keep it together. And of course, they were strong as always!
