We went to the beach near Spring Break for a long weekend with some friends that are expecting a baby any day now! Audrey was a champ on the trip down and watched all sorts of stuff on the ipad strapped to the back of my seat. We left after work hoping she would sleep most of the way down....NOPE, she slept the last 1.5 hours (11-12:30AM!).
While we are all super excited about being at the beach, the beach did not cooperate. It never got above 65 degrees and there was a wind advisory every single day. But that didn't stop little miss priss from showing off her bikini body and being the only brave soul to run (fully clothed, pre-swimsuit) into the ocean!
The last day there was Eric's and Eddie's birthdays so Emily made some cupcakes to celebrate...Audrey thought they were YUMMY!
The last night there Audrey got to fly her kite again during sunset, and while it was freezing, it was so much fun to see her enjoying herself!
Just had to share this picture of my preppy little thing- how cute is this outfit! Too bad mommy ruined the sweater by washing it with a red towel, oops.
AND all that swimming in the "heated pool" (although she seriously did not get in much at all), earned Miss Audrey some breathing treatments for bronchitis once we got home.
Overall, it was a good trip and I only wish the weather had cooperated more! But it was great to get away and see the beach again after almost 2 years of being away!
